Content on this site is provided for planning a stay in Cedar Key. We keep the local information as current as we can and show the date it was last verified, but island businesses change hours and status, sometimes without notice. Confirm directly with any business before you rely on it. Prices and availability shown in the booking widget are live from our property management system and govern over anything written elsewhere on the site.
Booking a stay
When you book direct, your reservation is governed by the rental agreement you sign at checkout, which includes the cancellation policy, house rules, occupancy limits, security deposit terms, and tax details for your specific dates. In short:
- Cancellation: 100% refund (less a $25 fee) if you cancel more than 60 days before arrival; 50% (less a $25 fee) if more than 30 days; non-refundable inside 30 days.
- Check-in / check-out: 4:00 PM / 11:00 AM unless we've agreed otherwise in writing.
- Occupancy: the maximum shown on each unit page. No parties or events.
- Pets: not permitted unless we've agreed in writing for your booking.
- Smoking: not permitted inside any unit.
Bookings made through Airbnb or Vrbo are governed by that platform's terms and the policy shown on the listing at the time of booking.
Storms
Cedar Key is on the Gulf. If a mandatory evacuation order is issued for Cedar Key that covers your dates, we will refund or rebook you in full regardless of the standard cancellation window. For storms and weather that don't rise to a mandatory evacuation, the standard cancellation policy applies, and we suggest travel insurance for summer and fall stays.
Liability
Cedar Key is a working waterfront with boat ramps, piers, marsh, and wildlife. You're responsible for your own safety and that of your party on and off the property. We're not liable for loss or damage to vehicles, boats, or trailers parked on or near the property.
